At-Large Board Member

With over three decades of experience in early childhood education, I have dedicated my career to supporting the learning, growth, and well-being of young children, their families, and the educators who serve them. I am seeking a position on the FLAEYC Board because I believe in the organization's mission and am eager to contribute my leadership and program experience to help advance the field across Florida.

Throughout my career, I have served in multiple roles as an educator, program administrator, mentor, and policy advocate. I have seen firsthand how workforce challenges and underinvestment affect not only educators but also the quality of care and education that children receive. FLAEYC's focus on elevating the profession through workforce development, accreditation support, and advocacy directly aligns with my professional values and lived experience.

I am particularly passionate about workforce retention, leadership development, and equitable access to high-quality early childhood programs. As a former mentor, I have supported emerging leaders and helped build inclusive learning environments. I would bring this same spirit of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and commitment to continuous improvement to my role on the Board. I am also deeply committed to helping bridge the gap between practice and policy.

At this point in my career, I see Board service as an opportunity to give back to the profession that has given so much to me. I am ready to contribute my leadership skills, institutional knowledge, and perspective to support FLAEYC's goals and to help shape the future of early childhood education in Florida. Together, I believe we can continue to build a profession that is respected, well-supported, and transformative for all children and families.
