For nearly two decades, my professional journey has been deeply rooted in fostering high-quality learning environments and empowering families, particularly within the Head Start framework. I firmly believe that robust early learning experiences are the cornerstone of a child's future success, a conviction that aligns perfectly with FLAEYC's vital mission.

My desire to join the Board stems from a commitment to contribute strategically to the field that has shaped my career. As a Childcare Center Director and currently as a Childcare Partner Supervisor, I have gained firsthand insight into the operational realities of programs and the critical need for strong advocacy, resource development, and policy guidance. I am eager to leverage this practical experience to support FLAEYC's initiatives, ensuring that every child in Florida has access to exceptional early learning opportunities.

I would bring a unique blend of strengths to this role. My extensive background includes robust expertise in organizational processes and fiscal management, encompassing comprehensive budgeting, successful grant writing, and adept management of complex funding sources. I possess a deep and practical understanding of state and federal compliance regulations, including Head Start Performance Standards, which is essential for maintaining program integrity and influencing effective policy.

Beyond technical skills, I am a decisive and action-oriented leader with proven interpersonal and communication abilities. My track record in team development and fostering collaborative environments would be invaluable in working alongside fellow board members to achieve our collective goals. As an Ed.D. Candidate with active memberships in the National Head Start and National Black Child Development Institute, I am committed to continuous learning and applying the latest research to best practices in child development.
